ACT District Selection

Our school has chosen to administer the ACT as our test for the CCRA. We feel this is the best test for our students and the one that they are the most familiar with at this point. If you would like to comment in regard to this decision, feel free to email me at tshaw@healdtonschools.org.

  • 1 State Champion in Track
  • State Runner-up in Archery/ National Qualifier
  • Multiple Daily Ardmoreite Players of the Week
  • Multiple KXII/KTEN Student-Athletes of the Month
  • All-State/All-Star athletes in softball, basketball, baseball, track, and band
  • 4 State Qualifiers in STAR Events through FCCLA
  • 54 juniors/seniors out of 78 that participated in a post-secondary opportunity (tech, concurrent, internships) many leading to industry certifications
  • 646 Community service hours served through various FCCLA projects and approximately $4500 raised/donated
  • 850 cans of food donated by STUCO through its food drive and 66 blood donors through its blood drive
  • Every student in HES received a new toy for Christmas through our Toy Drive and donation efforts
  • Around 100 students were taken ice skating, to a basketball game, and to a Christmas play as part of  HHS giving back to our students during Christmas
  • Around 25 coats were given out through our coat drive and donations
  • HES began a Student Leadership Team and raised over $1000 for heart awareness/ donated food baskets at Christmas
  • HMS STUCO donated canned food from its food drive during the holidays
  • 80 students participate in our Food Bank/Backpack Program
  • HES offers two AR trips per year for students meeting point goals and 90% comprehension
  • Students-of-the-Month are recognized at each site
  • Over 500 students are served daily through our cafeteria and transportation department
  • Extra-curricular activities: Football, Cross Country, Fastpitch, Band, Choir, Basketball, Archery, Baseball, Track, Slowpitch, Powerlifting, FCCLA, Blue Crew, FCA and Cheer
  • Leadership Groups: STUCO, Beta Club, NHS, NTHS and Student Leadership Advisory
